Appointment Information
The clinic is strictly by appointment only, please see our contacts page for the details on how to book your appointment.
Alison is fully trained and insured for every treatment offered at Pure Therapy and attends regular workshops and courses to keep her knowledge updated.
Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time to allow you to start your treatment rested and relaxed. If you arrive late to your appointment, please be aware that your treatment will need to be shortened.
Please be advised that the access to the clinic is up a steep flight of stairs from street level. It is regrettable that we do not have any disabled access to the first floor and wouldn’t be ideal for anyone with mobility issues.
Card and cash payments are accepted. If you would like to pay by cash, it would be appreciated if you bring the exact amount.
Before your treatment
If you are a new client to Pure Therapy you will initially be required to fill out a short consultation form to rule out any possible contra-indications and ensure the best tailored treatment for you. Rest assured your treatment time will not be affected by your consultation time.
Ongoing treatments will begin with a short verbal consultation.
It is the clients responsibility to provide accurate medical history and disclose any information that may affect treatments. All information provided is treated with sensitivity and confidentiality.
Occasionally there may be reasons why certain treatments are not beneficial or appropriate for you due to health concerns or pregnancy. If this is the case, an alternative treatment will be discussed or treatment re-booked for another time.
A consent letter may be required before treatment can take place if you suffer with any serious illness or conditions that are currently being treated or investigated by another health professional.
Please feel free to contact Alison prior to your appointment if you would like to discuss treatment suitability.
Pregnancy treatments will only be carried out after the first trimester and as long as no contra-indications are present. Pure Therapy may require a consent letter from a GP or midwife before treatment can commence.
Pure Therapy does not treat anyone under the age of 16 years of age.
A small deposit may be required for treatment times over 90 minutes.
Post Treatment Recommendations
To get the maximum benefit from any relaxing treatment it is best to arrange the appointment when you know you have time to relax afterwards.
Keep well hydrated by drinking plenty of water or herbal teas after your treatment and avoid alcohol and caffeinated drinks.
It is advisable to avoid swimming, bathing and showering for at least three to four hours after Aromatherapy to allow penetration of essential oils. Some essential oils can make the skin more sensitive to sunlight so it is best to avoid sunbathing, sun beds or direct sun exposure for at least 12 hours after a body or face treatment.
Cancellation Policy
I understand that life can sometimes throw challenges at you but I would appreciate at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This will allow me to offer the treatment space to another client on my cancellation list.
A 100% cancellation fee will be applicable if your treatment space cannot be filled at very short notice.
To protect myself and my other clients, please do not attend your appointment if you are unwell. Please provide as much notice as possible.
You will receive a no-reply complimentary text or email reminder 24 hours before your appointment time. Please contact Alison on 01442 870333 or 07778 598530 if you are unable to make your appointment.
